about me

I'm personally very systematic and I document everything rigorously. As a punk with strong ethics I tend to stand out in your average business meetings. I'm into computer systems, iaido (martial arts) and punk D.I.Y culture.

My first computer was a Commodore 64 (c64) on which I learned to program Basic and later Assembly language. The commodore 128D I acquired later provided me with the Z80 cpu on which I ran CP/M. Fortran was a language I briefly studied on that which later on opened up the door into the world of C. Later on when I entered the world of different Unix systems as well as Linux systems I became familiar with several more languages as well as scripting and automation. I keep a bunch of old gear cause I am a proud geek.

Gaming, of course. Comes with the territory and nature of living the IT life.

Got one child whom grown up to become a critically thinking, self going and independent, wonderful young lady. I do love her to bits.

about the company

I have been running businesses since the early 2000's and I have always been business-minded thus when Finnish law changed regarding domain registrations I decided to help the less fortunate and small people. M10 Network Services was born to aid small businesses and individuals with domain registrations and some obscure internet services.

Today the company is close to a full fledged enterprise when it comes to services and products with the original project and goal in mind. Helping small businesses and individuals. Customers vary from 1-5 people and up to 60+. Biggest installation I care for have about 400 users.

The company is a sole proprietorship. VAT registered. No employees but several business partners with whom I conduct joint projects.

about my career

My career started when I was in the 9:th grade in school and I have been in the IT industry and same career ever since. Early on I aided Ålands Tekniska Läroverk and Teknologicentrum with installations and troubleshooting aside from taking care of educational software they distributed. This is from where I learned Irix using SGI Onyx and got first hand to see first internet connectivity being built to Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan i Stockholm. I created Gopher pages before the html standard existed and got first hand to see Mozilla Mosaic and other web browsers come to live. It was, to say the least, exciting. Same facilities had a mix of HP Unix machines, Macintoshes, Windows for workgroup machines, Novell, and was also a place for early linux adoption. All the necessities for a growing young lad with interest in computer science.

During my years on the Åland islands I also worked at the Mariehamn City Library aiding with computer and internet related issues. Moved on to a company named MI-Data Ab, in which I later become co-owner. Starting at MI-Data Ab I created commersial installations of internet connectivity for MacOS 7.5.1 and onwards. I have been told that I am was one of the first if not the actual first to make internet commersially available on the Apple Machintosh platform in Finland.

Being a small shop on the Åland islands demands flexibility and agility. Tourists with their computer isses, local businesses, fast technological development forced me to develop many skills ranging from building physical infrastructure, retouching scanned photographs, t-shirt printing, programming, troubleshooting and even becoming an Apple Certified Technician providing Apple warranty repairs. Later on MI-Data Ab fused with Telering Mariehamn and phone sales and repairs (Nokia and Ericsson) along with other things was added to the ever growing arsenal of skills and day to day business. This was the age of Windows NT and PC installs alongside MAC's which further deepened my skills in mixed environments.

After the years on the Åland islands I moved to Pirkanmaa and worked long for a company utilizing my full skillset including Apple repairs until the unfortunate day I learned about some misconducts by the company. Moving on I continued to hone my skills with bigger and more complex systems including virtualization platforms and storage systems. I teamed up with a nice humatarian person and we did a long and successful run. A merger later we worked with a lot of people in a successful lineup until yet again things fell apart. Once again I left due to ethical reasons and this time I decided to put my efforts into the company now I run successfully.

ethics and integrity

This is a bit of a sacred topic. Ethics and integrity. Never ever deceive customers nor suppliers. I've had the misfortune to work for such companies in the past. Places I resigned from when I became aware of said misconducts. Know I will stand up for what's right. I will also honestly apologize when making mistakes and correct them. We are all but human after all.

My ethics will also refrain me from selling you garbage. I will tell you if a product is cheaper from another supplier. Finding issues in your enviroment, you can be sure I voice them. You, the customer, is whom I serve.
